Hi Everyone,

Quick question:

Environment: StreamSets Data Collector 3.10.0 w/o ControlHub on a Google Cloud instance with Ubuntu

Can I export a StreamSets Pipeline into a JSON file using the front-end UI EXPORT {via the 3 dots submenu [left of the view logs icon]} so I can edit the JSON file (change it in a text editor such as NotePad++, Sublime, or UltraEdit) to let say change an IP # for a Kafka or Kudu Stage settings, using a find and replace operation so there would be no other changes.

And then import the now modified JSON file as a new pipeline into StreamSets and run. Will there be any foreseeable problems in doing so?

Thank you so much for your answers Dash [iamontheinet]

Hi! Can you update your question with details about how you're planning on exporting and importing the pipeline? Using REST APIs, SDK, or UI -- and also if you're working with SDC directly or via Control Hub?

Thanks for updating your question. So I haven't tried it in SDC 3.10, but I have done it in more recent versions. Either way, I don't believe you will run into any issues. Please try it and report back if you see any issues.

Cheers, Dash
