Hi All, i am trying to connect to the azure SQL database using the JDBC Producer since we want to write to the Azure SQL Database. After putting in the information to connect, i Try to validate the Pipeline, which takes around 20min and then i get the following error

JDBC_00 - Cannot connect to specified database: com.zaxxer.hikari.pool.HikariPool$PoolInitializationException: Failed to initialize pool: Connection timed out (Read failed)

We are running SDC 3.12.0

I get the Same error when i try to connect to the Azure SQL Server using the JDBC Consumer as well.

I have tried running the following from where Streamsets is located

nc -z SERVER_ADDRESS 1433; echo $?

And it returns that it connects just fine.

I have set the Azure SQL Database to that it does not go to sleep (in case that was the issue)

Any ideas on where/how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

I Am able to connect to the Azure SQL server from my local Machine using a little bit of Java code and the JDBC Driver

Is TLS involved? Could it be something like an untrusted certificate? I've seen situations where the connection can be made at the network level, but it will still time out rather than report an error due to some authentication/TLS issue.

I’ll look into this for now, thanks for pointing me in a direction.
