Hi, when using field mapper to rename your column name - via the function:

${str:replaceAll(f:name (), 'dog' , 'dogs' )}

Should it push the column name to the bottom of the column list? Or can it be renamed and stay in the order the columns began with?

I know you can use field order stage to fix this. But I'm wondering if this can be done within the field renamer stage?

I believe the rename operation will happen "in place" -- so the field order should remain unchanged.

If we use field mapper order gets changed. But with in the field mapper stage i don't believe it can be done. Any suggestions appreciated

Yes I've tried it and for some reason it has pushed my renamed column to the bottom of the list ..
