I tried SFTP client in streamsets but i hit following error.

REMOTE 08 - Unable to download files from remote host.
sftp://[ipaddress]:[port]/ with given credentials. Please verify if the host is reachable, and the credentials are valid : Resource Url

I tested with the following credential and ip address with filezilla client and it works. How can i debug this issues?

I guess your FTP client and stream sets are running different IPS/Boxes, FileZilla is probably running on your local computer.

A good test will be login to the stream sets machine through command line and do a telnet test and see if you have the connection or not.

telnet [IP ADDRESS (not hostname)] port

example : telnet 172.xx.xx.xx 22 Connected to 172.xx.xx.xx. Escape character is '^]'. SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_5.3

When you don't have the connection you will see the timeout.

Hi Roh, You are correct. I tested the way you suggested and indeed when i telnet into streamsets machine and i get connection time out. Checked and found out that the firewall has been enabed for this ip. Disabled firewall for that ip and port will make the SFTP client works. Thanks!

I just got this thought, what if you don't have the access to the command line? and a quick solution that came to mind is to use the shell script executor to do that from UI but not sure I would have to test it.
