Renaming a field when one doesn't exist

I apologize if I missed this, probably a noob question but documentation and searching here turned up very little.

Using the "Field Renamer" I am trying to map relevant names to data that came in through a delimited file without so they have no names. I think where I'm falling down is the referencing of the original record.field "id" (which doesn't exit) but I cant seem to find the right syntax to reference the field by position, and then assign a name to it.

I think that made sense. TIA.

nevermind.. murphy's law:

  • Spend hours looking for answer

  • post noob question to a forum

  • find answer on the very next search

/0 -> /[new name]

/1 -> /[another new name]

Never fails. Thanx anyway.
