We have a kerberized cloudera hadoop cluster which uses sentry for authorization.

I'm trying to create a simple pipeline to get the CDC from an oracle table and write it to hive.

hive metadata processor is throwing a validation error:

HIVE_22 - Cannot make connection with default hive database starting with URL: jdbc:hive2://;principal=hive/_HOST@HADOOP. Reason: Provided Subject must contain a KerberosPrincipal

Please let me know what could be missing.

Thanks, Ramesh

Here is a great reference for connection URL:

Also, just to double check: Is your connection URL suffix exactly like default;principal=hive/_HOST@HADOOP ? Reason is:generally it will be something like default;principal=hive/hive-server2-h... where of course, your substitution will be according to your kerberos principal. This should be the exact principal that one can see from CM web UI.
