I have been given access to an s3 bucket entered the access key , secret key and the bucket .

I am getting a connectivity error

CONTAINER_0701 - Stage 'AmazonS3_01' initialization error: com.amazonaws.SdkClientException: Unable to execute HTTP request: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target 1

I faced a similiar issue from the command line and I fixed it by exporting the proxies

export https_proxy="www.stuff.com:8083" ... export ALL_PROXY

is their away to export proxies like that in streamsets.

I see the streamset proxy under advanced but I am not sure how exactly to enter the proxy.

Would it be

ProxyHost=www.stuff.com
ProxyPort=8083

Or do I need to create a seperate proxy user in streamsets or modify the java certificates.

Thank you and I am pretty new to streamsets so I am open to suggestions.

Yes, you should set the proxy host and port as you indicate. You should not need to set username and password if you didn't need those from the command line.

If you continue to see 'PKIX path building failed' errors, you will need to configure a truststore. Ensure you add your local certificate to the collection of standard certificates, rather than replacing the standard list with just your local one(s).
